Hello!
It is almost Friday! For some of you, it might even be already. Either way, the weekend is just around the corner. The sun is staying out longer. It is just about t-shirt weather. That is all very exciting!
This is another somewhat short newsletter. More just wanting to get out the recent jobs that I have come across. But I have also filled in the other sections.
Enjoy!

A Little About Me
If this your first time here, I wanted to tell you a little bit about my professional background. And if it isn’t your first time here, maybe there are still some new things for you to learn!
I have been in sourcing for 11 years. After struggling to find a solid career out of college, that is what happens when you study Filmmaking and Creative Writing, I eventually found my way into Sourcing, which I didn't even know existed. Since then, I love to help other people find jobs, as I know what that struggle can be like.
I have worked in RPO, corporate, and agency backgrounds and have hired in industries like banking, manufacturing, veterinary, dairy, tech, and pharma.
I am a seven-time conference speaker, having spoken at Sourcing Summit, Evry1, SourceCon, HRTX, ATAP's Global TA Day, and TA Week. I am a three-time Dueling Sourcer, an ERE panellist, a podcast guest, and have written blog posts for different sourcing publications.
I just put this image together to showcase the conferences that I have spoken at and other events that I have been a part of!

A Boolean String
Last newsletter, I did a search for upcoming graduates looking for entry-level jobs. Similar to that, I wanted to put together a string for recruiters looking to hire upcoming grads.
(“upcoming grad” OR “upcoming graduate" OR “new grad” OR “new graduate” OR graduating OR “may 2024” OR “seeking entry” OR “looking for entry”)

TA News
To find these articles, I just type in words like: “talent acquisition” or recruiting or recruitment onto Google News. I don’t really use Boolean, I type them in separately. The best thing to type in is “talent acquisition,” because anything about recruiting usually brings you to sports news or army news.
I will continue adding these to the Google Drive!

Tips and Tricks for Talent Acquisition Folks and Job Seekers
Tip #446: If a prospect rejects your Indeed message, you can still follow-up with them. Head over to your email and you can respond directly from there. Most of the time, I wouldn't follow-up with them, but it can be useful in cases such as someone didn't know that you had better fitting opportunities available or were hiring at other locations!
Tip #447: If you worked somewhere for a month or two, there is no need to put it on your resume. Unless, of course, it is an internship or something like it. ]
Tip #448: Use ChatGPT to help with cooking! I am not a strong cook, but I made a very nice dinner last night with the help of AI. One of the best parts is that you don't have to scroll forever to get to the recipe. Also, you can ask questions and get answers in real time!

Talent Acquisition Positions
If you aren’t following me on LinkedIn, hit that follow button as I often share the TA job postings that others share. These postings that I share come from Martin Ngo, David Marr, Swati Soni, Haley O’Neil, Alexandru Gotoi, Tawfiq Abu-Khajil, Alan Gomes, Amy Packard Checketts, David Valencia, Caitlin Cooke, Ebony Taylor, Steve Jacobs, Shirley Schaff.
As a reminder, none of these people are responsible for the jobs, they are just sharing roles they have come across. So, make sure to hit that apply button but remember they can’t help you much past that point. Oh, and make sure to not just use Easy Apply, you must also apply on the company website.
Don’t forget to follow these awesome people on LinkedIn, so you can keep up with their posts. And hit that Share button, so you can help others like you!
