Hello!
It has been two weeks since we last hung out. How have you been? The sun is staying out longer and I am very happy about that.
Hey, look, it’s me!

Today’s Edition
Things have been busy with work and life. I just got back from South Carolina where I was for a celebration of life. This all is why there has been some time between this edition and the last. Because of this, there is a lot of content in this newsletter, including many job postings and news articles.
A Little About Me
If this your first time here, I wanted to tell you a little bit about my professional background. And if it isn’t your first time here, maybe there are still some new things for you to learn!
I have been in sourcing for 11 years. After struggling to find a solid career out of college, that is what happens when you study Filmmaking and Creative Writing, I eventually found my way into Sourcing, which I didn't even know existed. Since then, I love to help other people find jobs, as I know what that struggle can be like.
I have worked worked in RPO, corporate, and agency backgrounds and have hired in industries like banking, manufacturing, veterinary, dairy, tech, and pharma.
I am a seven-time conference speaker, having spoken at Sourcing Summit, Evry1, SourceCon, HRTX, ATAP's Global TA Day, and TA Week. I am a three-time Dueling Sourcer, an ERE panelist, a podcast guest, and have written blog posts for different sourcing publications.
I just put this image together to showcase the conferences that I have spoken at and other events that I have been a part of!

TA News
To find these articles, I just type in words like: “talent acquisition” or recruiting or recruitment onto Google News. I don’t really use Boolean, I type them in separately. The best thing to type in is “talent acquisition,” because anything about recruiting usually brings you to sports news or army news.
I will continue adding these to the Google Drive!

Tips and Tricks for Talent Acquisition Folks and Job Seekers
Tip #431: When you receive an email from a reputable company, but it seems like a phishing scam, there are two ways to find out if the email is legit. The first is to look up the email address that it came from. See if other people have looked up the same thing and mentioned anything about it. You can also message the company on Facebook with a screenshot of the email, including the email address, and ask if it is actually from them. #tipsandtricks #securitytips #phising #scams #spam #email
Tip #432: You can have ChatGPT help you come up with emojis to use in Boolean strings! For example, I asked it to come up with a search of all of the different emojis for phone and email. I can add this to a string now to find people who might have listed their contact information. (📱 OR 📲 OR 📞 OR 📟 OR 📠 OR 🔋 OR 🔌 OR 📶 OR 📧 OR 💌 OR 📨) #sourcing #recruiting #recruitment #talentacquisition #chatgpt #ai #artificialintelligence
Tip #433: Purpose Jobs is a really cool website that helps jobseekers narrow down their search. You can search for jobs at companies that have a strong impact in areas such as clean energy and education. You can look for roles at companies that have diverse leaders. And you can also look for vacant jobs that offer specific benefits and perks like flexible working hours, hybrid work opportunities, and tuition reimbursement. https://www.purpose.jobs/discover/jobs #jobsearch #jobseeker #meaningful #impactful #diversity #benefits #perksTi
Tip #434: When a role you are hiring for changes into a new requisition, make sure you send the new link to anyone and everyone you sent the previous link to. Even if people have gone dark, still send it to those people. They might still be interested but will click on your previous link and see the role is closed and might just move on. #sourcing #recruiting #recruitment #talentacquisition #hiring
Tip #435: Encourage your Hiring Managers to post your job openings on their LinkedIn profiles! You can even put together the posting for them and just have them copy and paste them directly to their profile! #sourcing #recruiting #recruitment #talentacquisition
Tip #436: If you have a lot of emails to go through, or you just want to clean up your inbox quickly, type the word Unsubscribe in the search box at the top. This will filter your search to only emails with the option to unsubscribe. From here, you can delete a ton of unwanted emails all at once or you can go through each and unsubscribe from unwanted ones to save yourself from more in the future!

Talent Acquisition Positions
If you aren’t following me on LinkedIn, hit that follow button as I often share the TA job postings that others share. These postings that I share come from Martin Ngo, David Marr, Swati Soni, Haley O’Neil, Alexandru Gotoi, Tawfiq Abu-Khajil, Alan Gomes, Amy Packard Checketts, David Valencia.
As a reminder, none of these people are responsible for the jobs, they are just sharing roles they have come across. So, make sure to hit that apply button but remember they can’t help you much past that point. Oh, and make sure to not just use Easy Apply, you must also apply on the company website.
Don’t forget to follow these awesome people on LinkedIn, so you can keep up with their posts. And hit that Share button, so you can help others like you!
Here are some of their posts from the past two weeks:
Job Application Tracker
If you are looking for a new role, feel free to use my Google Sheet tracker to keep track of everything. I did see that someone recently filled in the document for their own job search. Just make sure to save it as a new document.
Where I Will Be Speaking
I will be speaking at SourceCon in April! This will be my first time speaking at a SourceCon in-person. Even more exciting, it is in Orlando. My first time attending a conference was at SourceCon in Orlando!
As my mom said, you will be in Disney the home of the greatest Sourcer(er), Mickey Mouse. I get my humour from her.
You can learn more about the conference here!
If you are planning to attend this conference, use the code MWSCS24 to save 10% And if you can’t travel to Orlando, you can still attend the conference virtually!
