Happy National Emo Day
I just found out that today is National Emo Day! I didn’t know that was an official thing! Then again, every day is Emo Day for me.
I am glad this holiday is celebrated, and I hope everyone is listening to emo music from the woods to the Bayside. I hope everyone gets to enjoy some American Football over break. And if you are watching in another country, I hope you enjoy your futbol and that your team doesn't get a Yellowcard. I hope that nobody gets sick during this time, as there is so much good food, and you will hate it if your Senses Fail. I am hoping that the holidays bring jobseekers something Brand New in the new year. Maybe it is a New Found Glory in the non-profit world, or it could be Something Corporate. And to those employed, I hope they have come up with a Simple Plan to be successful in 2025. Make sure to say what you are thankful for at dinner, you can even share a Story of the Year.
I over did it. I just had to Say Anything but I will now say no Paramore.
This year, like most others, I went to many concerts. Concerts and movies are two things are big parts of my life. I saw many emo bands this year, including:
New Found Glory
Something Corporate
Porter Robinson
City and Colour
Bowling for Soup
Senses Fail
I only have one show lined up next year so far and that is The Used and they are playing their first album!
You can find my concert reviews on my website: layriotta.com

Talent Acquisition Job Seeker Spotlight
Harold Koffler is a seasoned TA specialist with 20 years of experience in both sourcing and recruiting.
A lot of his career has been in government work doing things like hiring talent with CI or FS Polygraph clearances and supporting recently transitioned military personnel and veterans.
He spends a lot of his free time doing advocacy work, using his Boolean, research, and contact finding skills to help people.
Ideally, Harold would be looking for a role working for a non-profit or anything where the product is helping people and communities.
He is also available to help companies in the Fed/Gov/Con space with any level of engagement and can do 1099 or W2.
Harold is looking for something remote, but is open to something hybrid or on-site in the Columbia, SC area. He is also willing to travel anywhere in the US and can coordinate 1-2 weeks on site on an on going basis.

Talent Acquisition Positions
If you aren’t following me on LinkedIn, hit that follow button as I often share the TA job postings that others share. These postings that I share come from Martin Ngo, David Marr, Swati Soni, Haley O’Neil, Alexandru Gotoi, Tawfiq Abu-Khajil, Alan Gomes, Amy Packard Checketts, David Valencia, Caitlin Cooke, Ebony Taylor, Steve Jacobs, Shirley Schaff, Martel Howard.
As a reminder, none of these people are responsible for the jobs, they are just sharing roles they have come across. So, make sure to hit that apply button but remember they can’t help you much past that point. Oh, and make sure to not just use Easy Apply, you must also apply on the company website.
Don’t forget to follow these awesome people on LinkedIn, so you can keep up with their posts. And hit that Share button, so you can help others like you!
Instead of posting each link here, which takes too much time, visit the profiles of the people mentioned above or look through my feed for what I have shared over the past few weeks!
