Welcome Back!
I didn’t send out a newsletter last week as I was traveling for work. I love to travel for work. I love to work from home, but I love to travel for work. I can’t tell you the last time I traveled for work. It wasn’t far, but this trip was a great trip.
I don’t often take a week off from the newsletter, but when I do you can always go through the archive and visit the previous posts.
The archive can be found here!
Help Me Hit 100 Subscribers
I am currently at 86 subscribers! I really want to hit 100 subscribers soon.
I always post a link at the bottom of the newsletter for people to share it, but I wanted to mention it up here, as well, in this edition.
You can share this post here:
Or you can share the whole newsletter here:
Horror Movies!
I have mentioned before that I run a website called Lay Riotta. It is a website that suggests television shows and movies. I recently put together a list of my favorite horror movies. It is a long list. If you are looking for some horror to watch this month, here are some suggestions!
Tips and Tricks Book - Continued
I am almost at 400 Tips and Tricks! That is over a full year of tips and tricks.
I want to add games to the end of the books. A Bingo board where you and your team can see who can do the most tips and tricks first. Maybe a Crossword to test people on some sourcing knowledge. Things like that.
TA News
To find these articles, I just type in words like: “talent acquisition” or recruiting or recruitment onto Google News. I don’t really use Boolean, I type them in separately. The best thing to type in is “talent acquisition,” because anything about recruiting usually brings you to sports news or army news.
I will continue adding these to the ro Google Drive!

Tips and Tricks for Talent Acquisition Folks and Job Seekers
Tip #387: Occasionally, we still write things down with a pen and paper. You know, like our great ancestors did. If you just left a meeting or somewhere else where you wrote something down, there are easy ways to get this print onto your computer without having to type it all up. You can open the Notes section on your phone and click on the camera button and then Scan Text. You can also now take a picture of the print and then easily copy the print from the image.
Tip #388: Develop relationships with veteran organizations in your area. Each year, approximately 200,000 people leave the army and move into civilian life looking for a new job. When you network with these organizations, you can help transitioning veterans find a career at your company!
Tip #389: If you are a big fan of traveling and animals, TrustedHousesitters is a website that allows you to stay at free houses all around the world in exchange for watching the pets that live there! https://www.trustedhousesitters.com/
Tip #390: If you need a professional headshot done for your LinkedIn profile, resume, or something else, there are some great options. You can use the Portrait mode on your phone, hire a local photographer, or use an AI service for this! One of these AI services is Snappr. https://www.snappr.com/ai/headshots

Talent Acquisition Positions
If you aren’t following me on LinkedIn, hit that follow button as I often share the TA job postings that others share. These postings that I share come from Martin Ngo, David Marr, Swati Soni, Haley O’Neil, Alexandru Gotoi, and Tawfiq Abu-Khajil.
As a reminder, none of these people are responsible for the jobs, they are just sharing roles they have come across. So, make sure to hit that apply button but remember they can’t help you much past that point. Oh, and make sure to not just use Easy Apply, also apply on the company website.
Don’t forget to follow these awesome people on LinkedIn, so you can keep up with their posts. And hit that Share button, so you can help others like you!
Here are some of their posts from the past week:
